Cyriac Kandoth

| Biography | Cyriac Kandoth was born in Kerala, India. His primary education was spread out at various schools in Glasgow (Scotland, UK), New Delhi (India), and Trivandrum (Kerala, India). His secondary education in the city of Cochin, India, placed a focus on Physics and Computer Science. In 2005, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Model Engineering College, Cochin (under the Cochin University of Science and Technology). After 6 months in the Software industry, Cyriac joined the University of Missouri – Rolla, USA (now known as Missouri S&T) and graduated with a Master of Science in Computer Science, with emphasis on Bioinformatics. Cyriac Kandoth is currently a graduate student at UMR’s Department of Computer Science. He is pursuing a PhD with a focus on Automated Gene Identification. His other research interests include Automated Surveillance Systems, Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Graphics Processing technologies, Parallel Processing, and pretty much anything that ends with –logy, -ysics, or –ience. |
