Open Source Release
Set Up Your Own Hub
HUBzero has been packaged and tested for a 64-bit installation of Debian GNU/Linux 5.0. Want to get up and running the easy way? Try downloading our Virtual Machine image.
Set up a hub on your own hardware using our open source release:
Starter HUB
Live tool sessions for up to 250 simultaneous users, and 500GB of storage for simulation results. Great starting point for most projects.
You and your inner circle of trusted colleagues will have complete administrative access to the site. Any Web developers working on your project will be able to log in, edit the code, develop new features, and test them on a sandbox machine before publishing them on your hub.
The HUBzero team does not guarantee 24x7 operation for hosted hubs, but we work very hard to maintain better than 99% uptime. HUBzero staff work flexible hours, so it is possible to get answers at many different times. The best way for HUBzero customers to get support is to file a support ticket. You may expect shorter response times from 9am - 5pm Monday-Friday (Eastern Time). Staff are usually unavailable during weekends.
| * The above pricing is for a starter hub (see explanation to the left). For storage, rendering servers, development time, etc. beyond a starter hub, additional fees are assessed, please contact Diana Hancock for details or see the options here. These are the current prices for our recharge center. Prices are reviewed by Purdue University and adjusted periodically, and are subject to change without notice. | |

Features
The HUBzero software builds upon an open source infrastructure to create an environment in which researchers, educators, and students can access tools and share information. Specifically, we define a "hub" as a web-based collaboration environment with such features as Interactive Simulation Tools.
